On our weekend trip to Universal Studios, we stopped in Redlands for dinner at Plant Power, a vegan fast food restaurant that serves classics like chik’n nuggets, burgers, french fries, and milk shakes.
I was starving by the time we got there and didn’t get any pictures of our food before we scarfed it down, gasp! What a terrible blogger I am. But I did snag some photos of the super cool boxes that the food came in. I was really digging the 70’s vibe of their packaging and art work. Besides their food being better for you and the earth, all of their packaging products are compostable. Win win everyone.
We tried (between two trips – dinner then lunch on the way home) the Big Zac, the classic hamburger, the bacon cheeseburger, chik’n caesar salad, chik’n nuggets, fries, buffalo wings, strawberry milkshake, and root beer float. Everything was delicious. I like the small details of food – the fluffiness of the bread, how juicy the burger patty is, a crispy outer shell on a nugget, hot and salty french fries. Plant Power hit all of the marks for a quick and delicious vegan road trip meal.
Oh, and their ranch dressing was delicious. They get extra points for that!
Plant Power offers a variety of desserts as well but unfortunately we didn’t get a chance to try them. Next time! If you happen to go, tell me what you think about the cheesecake.
They have a few locations in California so make sure to stop by the next time you are there. We will definitely be back to try their breakfast menu on our next road trip. They have chicken and waffles!!!!!
