#adventuregang #throwback – Flagstaff, Arizona

Because we’re going to be hibernating at home for the next couple of weeks due to the current situation of the world, I thought I’d post a few throwback trips from the #adventuregang chronicles.

December 2018 – The #adventuregang visits Flagstaff, Arizona

We went with our friends to visit Flagstaff so the kiddos could play in the snow and explore all that this little town has to offer. Flagstaff is one of my my favorite places and I would love to be able to spend more time there. I looked at house prices and rental space cost for a barbershop; it wasn’t terrible so maybe one day we can change things up and move there. In my dreams, maybe – we’ll see.

Y’all know I love the small details in all of the places we go, so most of my photos show the things that people may overlook on their travels. I especially loved the cocktails sign and recycled bottles in concrete, they are definitely inspiring some of my next paintings. Flagstaff has SO MUCH ART. It’s everywhere. I recommend you stroll through the streets and take a moment to appreciate each piece. They are all so unique and beautiful.

After a few hours exploring downtown Flagstaff, the kids were itching to throw some snowballs around. We drove father North to find a park that was covered in snow, with powder about 1 foot deep in some places. There’s just something about playing in the snow that makes you feel like a kid again. The girls loved pelting their dad with big ass snow balls and were surprised when he voluntarily smashed a mini boulder of snow over his own head. Those snow flakes must have a wee bit of magic in them because the rosy cheeks and baby giggles were bountiful this day. Weekends like this remind me of how thankful I am to have friends who are like family, that can adventure with us and make memories that will last a lifetime.
