I did it. I opened an Etsy shop. Again.
If you know me from wayyyyyy back when, then you probably remember my days of slangin’ hair flowers at car shows, pin up contests and online. It was a fun way to be creative and sell things that I loved in an environment that fit our personal style niche.
Please step into my time machine and take a walk down memory lane with me for a moment. This way, step right up –
While it was a fun little side job, it became too demanding to juggle along with my regular full time job, plus the kids, wife life, and running a home. During this time, the Spousal Unit was going to school and working full time, on top of parental duties and being there for whatever else we needed. At some point, the shows became less frequent and the ambition to churn out new items for our online store became insufficient.
BUTTTT fast forward a few years and I find myself really missing that creative outlet that allowed me to make something pretty with my hands. And I have more time now, well kind of ( LOLOLOL ).
So I opened an Etsy shop again to sell pretty hair thingys.
But this time, it’s just for fun. I’m not trying to create a big profitable side business or sell at shows this time around. This time, it’s just for some good old fashion happiness. And the extra money will be nice to throw into a savings account or buy an exuberant amount of french fries every now and then.
I’m going to focus my energy on ready to ship flower crowns because everyone needs a crown right? And I’m just kind of obsessed with them right now, so I’m going to chase this idea for a little while.
You can see some of the pretty flower crowns I’ve conjured and posted for sale on our new Etsy shop here –
If you don’t mind, share the new little shop with your friends and loved ones, and don’t forget to tag us on Instagram – @laladyvaldez_blog
As always, thanks for joining me on another wild adventure!
